James P. Newton, CPA

Mr. Newton is the Chief Financial Officer contributing to the growth of Damianos Realty Group LLC, an award-winning real estate company.

Since joining the Company in 1998 as the Controller, Mr. Newton has been responsible for all Accounting Department activities as well as financial reporting for the Company’s commercial real estate portfolio. He also provides direction in the areas of budgeting, financing, legal and insurance matters.

Prior to joining Damianos Realty Group, Mr. Newton was the Controller for two privately held companies, Audit Manager at a large Long Island-based public accounting firm and Internal Auditor with a Fortune 100 Company based in New York City.

Mr. Newton is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs. He is also actively involved in not-for-profit organizations seeking a cure for ALS and an energetic member of his community through leadership in youth athletic organizations.

Mr. Newton earned a B.S. in Accounting from the State University College of New York in Plattsburgh. He currently resides in East Northport with his wife and four children.
